Dr. Travis Spillman
Dr. Travis Spillman was raised in Rockwall, Texas. He attended Baylor University and began working for dentist in Garland, Texas during his freshman year. Dr. Spillman graduated from Baylor in 1999, and then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch- Houston in 2003. During dental school, Dr. Spillman was active in numerous student organizations and began participating in mission work with Texas Missions of Mercy, which provides free dental care to those in need.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Spillman began practicing dentistry in the same office where he worked during college and dental school. He and his wife, Michele, were married in 2004 and settled into a home in Lakewood Heights. After their first daughter was born in 2005, Dr. Spillman realized that he wanted to shorten his daily commute and decided to open his own office closer to home. He and his wife patiently waited for the right location to become available and then began an impressive demolition and remodel of the new office space. The Dental Center of Lakewood opened its doors on July 18, 2007, just months before the Spillmans' second daughter arrived.
After welcoming a son in 2009, the Spillmans stay very busy and are active in the Lakewood community. In May 2009, Dr. Spillman completed the Advanced Restorative course from the Center for Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry (CARD). CARD is the premier hands-on teaching facility for advanced techniques in dental esthetics, complex restorative dentistry and the treatment of facial pain, including porcelain veneers, crowns & bridges, restoration of severely worn or missing teeth, and TMJ. In May 2010, Dr. Spillman completed the CARD Masters Series course and is now part of CARD's teaching faculty. As part of the teaching faculty of CARD, Dr. Spillman passes on his expertise and skill to dentists from all across the country and around the world.
